Summary: First time in a long long time we had a well designed, executed and clean facility. We like to look at the dark skies using our long chairs. The back patio is small and to use the backyard was challenging because of seriously uneven grounds with stones, rocks to fall easily... Easy to fix. The waffles breakfast is a plus. Walking distance from all, art and music festival included. Thank you very much.

Summary: The best place to stay in Escalante. This was my second time staying and it was perfect. Nice and quiet, easy check in, immaculate rooms, everything you need, beautiful scenery and gorgeous back porch to relax. Cant wait to stay again

Summary: This was a fantastic experience for us. The attention to detail was amazing! We’ve travelled a lot in both Europe, Africa and the US. I can honestly say this is the best place we have ever stayed. If you go to Escalante, this is the only place to stay. Terry and Wendy are the best! We told them that they should start a consulting business to teach others how to do what they do.

Summary: I spent a very pleasant night in Escalante at this lodge. The lodge is small with parking in front of the room.
I had the Single king room which was nicely furnished with lots of nice touches and perfect for my needs. The king size bed had a nice firm mattress but the pillows were kind of soft and didn’t provide a lot of support.
The tv was a connected to an antenna so there was only a limited amount of channels and sometimes the reception was spotty. But since the purpose in visiting Escalante is to get out and enjoy all the wonderful hikes and drives available this was no problem.
The room has a microwave, small fridge, and a coffee/tea area with fresh ground coffee available. It would have been nice to have a small office chair so I could set up my laptop on the desk. The bathroom has lots of towels and a nice shower.
The room has a back door that leads to a seating area in the back with a nice view of the mountains. The front of the rooms has a firepit and a grill and a nice seating area as well.
The lobby closes at 6pm but the owners are available by phone to text or call. They are wonderful hosts. I had the pleasure of talking to and getting to know Terry and Wendy when I had a waffle for breakfast. They do not offer a free breakfast but they do have a small restaurant that sells incredible Belgian waffles and wonderful fresh ground coffee.
The next time I am in Escalante I will definitely stay here again.

Summary: Spacious, clean and quiet hotel. We really liked our unit that had a full kitchen, unique artwork and comfortable bedding. The host was extremely attentive and helpful! We will definitely stay here again when in the area. We also liked the back patio so we could watch the sunset. Additionally we could walk to restaurants in the area which was convenient!
