In the winter, you even have a view of Hunter’s west side and Annapurna! This is the perfect location for winter skiing, summer hiking, and exploring the best the Catskill region has to offer.
Blackbear Chalet is a gorgeously renovated three-bed, two-bath, mid-century homage with massive decks featuring a 7-person hot tub and modern, yet cozy living spaces. The home is air-conditioned all summer long and warm and toasty in the winter!
Our home was designed with comfort in mind and is great for families (best for up to 6 adults), groups of friends or up to 3 couples looking for the ultimate secluded escape in the Catskills. The large living room has two really comfortable large leather Article sofas, two CB2 lounge chairs, a Poly & Bark coffee table, a cozy wood stove, a 65" Roku smart tv, and plenty of board games for all ages. Our dining table comfortably sits 8 or if you prefer, enjoy your meal alfresco on the huge deck and outdoor dining area.
All three bedrooms feature high-end, comfortable foam mattresses. The primary bedroom boasts a king-sized bed, a desk for any work-from (vacation) home needs, and a private balcony with winter views of Hunter Mountain. The upstairs guest room has a queen bed and a twin daybed with a trundle. The two upstairs bedrooms have skylights above the bed making them the perfect spot for stargazing. The downstairs bedroom has a queen bedroom and a private workspace. We also have a mini crib for our smallest of guests. The bathrooms, while dated, are well-appointed with clean bath products, including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion.
Outside enjoy fun amenities on our two acres of land. You can cozy up around our newly dug wood-burning fire pit, gather with friends in our outdoor seating area, lounge on our hammock, gather around our outdoor dining table to enjoy a freshly grilled meal, or relax in our brand new 7-person hot tub.
